Welcome to the world of C.O.D.E 7, a world of music, development, creativity, production, training, performances and vision. We use the word ‘world’ because most people who have participated in any of C.O.D.E 7’s ventures or projects became captivated by its convivial atmosphere and even addicted to its positive energy. For many years, music has been the ‘big fantasy’ of the UK business world, thus meaning, if you were not famous and you mentioned you were involved in music, people would insinuate that you should get a proper job. The same still applies now but the difference is nowadays there is more of a chance for a young music hopeful to become popular through the many pirate radio stations, local cable TV networks and most prominently the Internet.
Madonna said “Music Makes The People Come Together” and that is one of the most factual statements ever made in music. We have witnessed this for as far back as we can remember when collaborations in music have unified troubled areas and people in specific countries. Bob Marley, John Lennon, Bob Geldof, Michael Jackson and so many more give evidence to this.
Just because a young, enthusiastic and straight music minded person realises that they may not fulfil his or her music dream as an artist, does not mean that they cannot take part in the industry in some form, still earn a good living and achieve self satisfaction. And you never know, once you continue an affiliation within the music business, there is always the possibility of being offered something beneficial.
Currently, in the eyes of the younger generation, music remains the most attractive business. The 32 music stations that broadcast on sky and cable at the moment contribute to this fact. Compared to back in the day when you were blessed with 2 music shows on TV, which were Top Of The Pops and Soul Train, it makes good sense why the younger generation want some of the action. Look at it this way, a song comes on that you do not like; you turn to another station and another until you find a song you do like. Where is it heading? A few years back, when the music industry became totally unpredictable with the introduction of CD copying, countless artists and musicians’ sales dropped and were left wondering and pondering about their careers. Ideas were flowing, as many artists and musicians looked alternative routes to explore. Some became independent and tried their own distribution, some became radio djs, some tried opening record shops and some tried seeking employment in the industry. However, there was one idea which is now in abundance, music training.
Music training opportunities seem to be everywhere and in all forms, from basic learning to higher education. So, as we find in all industries, training is essential and, as growth is a major factor in business, companies and organisations put a lot of focus in training. So much so, that now companies and organisations fully examine trainers’ experience, the type of training to be delivered and how it will be delivered to ensure they reap maximum benefit.
This Internet site is to give a clear insight of Code 7’s world of reality by highlighting what we have achieved, our current & active services, local news updates and our aims for the future.
